23 weeks

Holy cow! Look what we accomplished this weekend! I say 'we' because it was a group effort. ( yes, even I worked....I hung every piece of clothing in my chair). Katie and I have continuously saved every item of clothing, shoes, hats, bloomers, etc from our babies, Hannah, Ava, George. Needless to say, we had at least 20 tubs to organize with sizes from newborn to 3t. Craziness!

Mom,Katie,Carol and I managed to develop a system so we could organize all these beautiful clothes. We labeled boxes from 3-6 month, 6-9 month, 12 month etc. I put all the 0-3 month clothes on pink and blue hangers.
After !!  Now, baby A and B Anderson are set! Well for now...I am sure a few more things will be purchased. Especially as I remain on bed rest.
Thank you Jan Jan, Cita, Aunt Katie, Gran, Ava, George and Hannah for helping me get the nursery ready!  Also, thanks for staying with me while Luke was out of town.  We owe you BIG TIME !

Also, Katie and I just purchased an early Christmas present...embroidery machine! I am so excited! When mommy and daddy decide on names, all the babies' clothes will be monogramed. Now, just need to figure out how I can monogram in the bed...there has to be a way!

Baby update
My doctor appt went well today! It was very short and sweet, but I still got out of the house. My yard is covered with beautiful yellow and red leaves and I have a few roses and mums blooming. Who knew ??
Dr. Mason sonogramed the babies. We heard the heartbeats and learned that baby boy is breech for the moment and baby girl is now on the right side. That's what all the chaos has been about...I have two gymnasts in my belly...or two more Hannahs!

Bed rest update
Well, no change! Still the same ole, same ole! I was given a glimpse of hope today though. My bed rest may change from strict to moderate after two weeks. Which just means, eating while sitting up, and maybe a longer shower...

Thanksgiving
We have invited everyone over to our house for t-day! All the Andersons, Sandlins, Fites, my mom, Ralph, Dad, and Jojo. Of course, I cant cook or do anything to prepare but I have lots of helpers. My tables already look beautiful ! This will be our first thanksgiving at home and I am excited! Truthfully, I will not be doing anything but watching everyone work around me. I will be able to lay around and enjoy the company for the day. If you know me, you know i love to entertain so it will be hard to sit back and watch but I don't have a choice. I will make the best of it because I know that next year will be a whole new story! Also, doc said I can sit at the table for lunch! Yay!

We have so much to be thankful for !  I am happy we get to share thanksgiving with both of our families, even though I am 'out of commission.' Thank you everyone for making this happen!  It means a lot to me !

22 week growth scan/sonogram

Yay! I had a fabulous outing yesterday! I had a growth sonogram on both of these babies! Needless to say, I didn't sleep much last night bc I was so excited! At first, there was a bit of confusion to determine what to call the babies in the sonogram report, baby A,B, or C. There are two babies now but we still want to call them baby B and baby C. If you know Luke very well, you know we gotta get this right the first time. Once that was figured out, we proceeded without any problems.

Baby girl- weighs 1 lb. 1 oz; measuring 3 days ahead, she is head down,
Baby boy- weighs exactly 1 lb.; measuring right on time, he is head down.

Both of their heads are together (so they can chat). Their feet constantly kick my belly button area and rib cage. They are about 11 inches long. All looks perfect!

Bed rest update
So, how am I really doing?  Do I get terribly bored ? Yes!  Is it hard being 100% dependent on everyone else? YES !   Do I hate staying in the house everyday ?  YES! Am I gonna make it ?  YES I will make it!
I have a routine and I stay busy believe it or not.  I have visitors throughout the day like dad brings me coffee, mail, groceries, and feeds the dog; Sara comes to visit at lunch; Luke comes home at lunch,  Mom does odds and ends around the house a fews days a week; Cita comes by at lunch or afterschool a few days a week; Lupe comes to clean and tornados through the house;  AND I have friends in and out all the time !  I love visitors !
I am a little (no, A LOT) nervous about how my body will act after all of this but I have Audra, Sara, and the gym...so get ready girls !

All of this bed rest business will be history in March and I am planning summer trips already.  I think we will plan on the beach in May to kick off the summer!  The babies will LOVE the beach ! Hannah has LOTS to teach them!

Thank you this week to:
Sara and Shane- loaded nachos and a movie; lunch and virgin mimosas, Thank you Sara for being the best preggo partner EVER!
Luke- grilled steaks, potatoes, salad...yummy!

Hannah's 1st (and last) Cheer Competition...for this year

Of course, Hannah LOVED the cheer competition and I think Jan Jan and Cita had a fun day, too.  Thank goodness her little team is a 'show team' so they ALL got a trophy.  She was THRILLED !  Plus, Jan Jan and Cita bought her prizes.  :)

Jan Jan and Cita-Thank you a MILLION for taking Miss Han to the competition !
Katie and Sara-Thank you for keeping me company !  :)  I enjoyed the virgin mimosas in my lounge chair on the patio.

21 week check-up

Bedrest- 22 days down
I got to leave the house today ! I noticed a lot of things that I used to see daily that I never took the time to appreciate.  I saw the leaves changing on all the trees in my yard and neighborhood (i couldnt help but think that ALL of those leaves would eventually fall but it won't be my problem this year).  The red and yellow trees are so beautiful.  It is amazing that some people are putting out their Christmas lights, etc.  Still a little early for me but nice to see that Christmas is right around the corner.

I was actually nervous to travel the 3 miles to the dr office.  I still have stamina but I was unsure how my body would react to being 'up' that long.  We parked close (illegal in the handicap space) and Luke wheeled me in to Dr. Mason's office.  As usual, the nurses got me right in to see the doc.   We had a sonogram of the babies and they barely stopped moving long enough for the doc to measure heartbeats.  Eventually, we heard strong beating hearts and saw healthy, very active, babies.   My cervix length has not changed in two weeks so this was very reasurring...we are doing good. :)   I also got my hydroxyprogesterone shot.   I will remain on bedrest with bathroom privileges....why not, its working.

Thank you for meals this week :

Judi and John Howell-Lasagna Casserole, Garlic bread, Salad, Choc Sheet Cake (w/o nuts...my all time FAV)
Chessy Taylor- Roast, Potatoes, Peas, Cornbread,Carrots, Pecan Pie (yumyum)
Nancy Lloyd-Chick Salad and Tort Soup

Sara-Subway for lunch

Hannah Update:
This week, Hannah is so excited about her FIRST cheer competition PLUS she gets to spend the night with Captain and Cita PLUS she gets to ride to the competition with JanJan and Cita.  :)  Also, she and daddy are perfecting their morning and evening routine.  They are both doing JUST FINE.  MY favorite time of day is after bathtime.  She crawls up in my bed and we read, talk about the day, or watch a movie.  Sometimes, she can feel the babies move and she thinks this is SUPER COOL.  I think she is adjusting very well.  It is really a good transition time for her before the babies come.

Next week, I will have pics of the little cheerleader in FULL glitter cheer make-up.  :)

Thank you for all the prayers and support.  Please keep the prayers coming!
Much love, Tasa

Almost 21 weeks ...

Bed REST...19 days down
So, I think I AM GONNA MAKE IT !  I am feeling a lot more positive about this pregnancy, even more than last week.  Every week I feel a little more confident. Physically, I am still feeling really good with no cramping or any other pain.  I would LOVE to get out of my chair just to help Hannah get dressed, pack her lunch, fix my own meal, or sit on my porch.   However, who can complain when EVERY meal is hand delivered on a 'platter,' someone does ALL my laundry, ironing, grocery shopping, cooking, errands, and cleaning.

Also, Hannah has a full time 'keeper' that gives her 100 % of their attention after school and on the weekends (usually a grandparent/aunt/cousin).   Hannah can not stay home alone with me...she would burn down the house, no doubt.   Of course, daddy takes care of both of us in the evening by making sure we are fed and bathed before bed, gives my shot, does laundry, gets the backpack ready for the next day, etc.  Then in the morning, daddy dresses the little diva,  dresses me (i'm no longer a diva, much more low maintenance), makes our breakfast, gives my shot, gets me situated for the day then takes Hannah to school.   Since we live in the same town with most of our close family, Hannah gets to play with different cousins and friends every weekend and she is truly loving life.  Needless to say, Hannah has NOT missed a 'beat.'  She has her first cheer competition this weekend in Denton.  Cita and Jan Jan are taking her for the day.  She is SO EXCITED and she gets to go with TWO grandmas.  :)

Rewind to the past two weekends...I have decided weekends are fun bc I have lots of FABULOUS company BUT it is so hard to see them come and go when I am stuck in the house.  The weather has been beautiful and makes me want to work/play in my yard, go shopping, or sit by a bonfire.

Last weekend, Halloween, Hannah had her first slumber party with "Gram Pam," "Daddy George" and Ava at the Fites house in HS. Pam had the evening planned out with lots of crafts and baking.  Katie and Carol spent most of Saturday with me since Luke had to work.   Katie re-organized my closet and drawers so my maternity clothes can be easily found (mainly for Luke).   Also, she picked out Hannah's clothes for the school week which is a HUGE help for my (color blind) husband.   Thank you Katie and Carol for helping with all the Halloween 'to dos' and chores around my house.  MUCH APPRECIATED by ALL THREE of us !  Here's Jasmine...(Luke may be the new photographer in the family. I love these pics.)

This past weekend, Aunt Jojo, Jamie, Chloe, and mom came to babysit me and Hannah (and work circles around me all weekend).  Mom did all my odds and ends around the house like water plants, put up Halloween decorations, cleaned out fridge, grocery shopped, organized Hannah's closet (yes, this has to be done weekly, she is so spoiled rotten with clothes and SHOES).  Saturday, Jamie and Jojo took the girls to Walmart for more groceries and brought home Randy's burgers.  Also, they got Hannah ready for the school week, washed every stitch of laundry, cleaned bathrooms, and I think Jojo even cleaned light fixtures. My house is MUCH cleaner than normal.  :)    Papaw took the girls back to Walmart bc we had an earring emergency and both girls came home with new earrings!  Thanks Pap !  Hannah and Chloe put a puzzle together for the nursery and Jamie decopaged it for me...so cute !  Thank you Jojo, Jamie, Chloe, and mom for a great weekend !

CareCalendar.org

We have had a AMAZING group of friends and family bring food and even more sign up through November and most of December.  I can't even express how HELPFUL this has been for all 3 of us!  It is just such a BLESSING! I know it makes Luke's life a million times easier...plus we are eating healthy food instead of take out.

Thank you for meals last week:
